All Cherry Tenor Ukulele
$1,125
This ukulele is crafted from solid tone woods: aged Cherry for the soundboard, back, sides, and neck. The set of cherry used for this ukulele is special because it was locally sourced on the north shore of Long Island - recovered from storm downed trees. It was processed, stickered, and aged in our shop for 25+ years before being selected and used for this ukulele. This ukulele was born and raised a New Yorker!
Cherry is an excellent tone wood, and this will become your go to ukulele for any style of playing: it is comfortable to hold and has a bright, responsive voice. The radiused fingerboard and thin neck enhances player comfort - especially on those difficult to hold bar chords - and improves fretting accuracy resulting in a good, consistent tone while playing. The headstock is shaped in a “bell top” design and the maple binding along the body and fingerboard elegantly contrasts the deeper brown figuring of the cherry. This is an ukulele that you are NOT going to want to put down once you pick it up.
