Curly Maple Tenor Ukulele

$1,450

This tenor ukulele is crafted from solid tone woods: aged curly maple for the soundboard, back, neck, and sides. The maple used for this ukulele is special because it was locally sourced on the north shore of Long Island - recovered from storm downed trees. It was processed, stickered, and aged in our shop for 25+ years before being selected and used. This ukulele was born and raised a New Yorker!

A beautiful, hand carved and stippled double leaf carving ornaments the base of the neck. This elegant detail was symmetrically carved on both sides of the neck heel. The ukulele also features a player’s port, or sound port, that was designed into the upper bout of the instrument for enhanced player feedback. The headstock is shaped in the “open book” design which is echoed at the fingerboard extension for a finished look.
